Privacy Policy
We keep it simple - because LensBooth is simple. Here's exactly what happens with your data.
Last updated: April 2026The short version
Camera access
LensBooth uses your device camera to show a live preview and capture photos during a session. We do not:
- Record or stream your camera feed to our servers
- Store any photos or video on our servers
- Access your camera outside of an active booth session
In Shared Booth, your video connects directly with the other person - it isn't stored or sent through our servers.
Anonymous usage stats
We collect anonymous counters to power our live stats display:
- Total photos snapped (a number, not the photos themselves)
- Total booth sessions created
- Total and currently active visitor count
None of these are linked to you personally. No names, emails, or IP addresses are stored alongside them.
Shared booth sessions
When you start a Shared Booth, a temporary session is created on our server with a random 8-character ID. This session:
- Accepts a maximum of 2 participants
- Automatically expires after 15 minutes of inactivity
- Is deleted when both participants disconnect
- Contains no personal data - only temporary socket connection IDs
Local storage
LensBooth uses your browser's localStorage to pass booth preferences (e.g. booth type, strip style) between pages during your session. This data is stored only on your device, never sent to our servers, and not used for tracking.
We do not use cookies or any third-party tracking.
Third-party fonts
LensBooth loads fonts from Google Fonts and Fontshare. These services may log your IP as part of standard font delivery. We use no advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social tracking pixels.
